“Lawrence Calcagno (1913-1993) – One Man Show”

Lawrence Calcagno, an artist of international stature, was born in 1913. Self-taught until after World War II, he studied painting with Clyfford Still, Mark Rothko and Ad Reinhardt, then attended the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris and the Instituto d’ Arte Statale in Florence, Italy. Calcagno’s work is in the permanent collections in many noted museums across the country.
Gallery 42, located in a historic home in Catskill, NY, is normally open from 5-8 pm on the third Saturday of each month for Catskill gallery tour and by appointment. (518) 943-2642
